Hitting Restart. Again (x 3).

For the second or possibly fourth time, I’m going to give the blog section of my website a go. What does that mean, exactly? Well, it means a lot of things, I guess.

Any of the times I’ve tried to do the blog before this, my food and drink writing was consistently being published elsewhere. I didn’t have to worry about where reviews, thoughts, profiles, etc would be, because 98% of it was going to the same publication. That isn’t the case this time around.

In the last year, I’ve done some freelancing while attempting to find full-time employment again. The good news is I found employment. The (not bad, just other) news is that it isn’t in the food and drink sphere. For the first time in over half a decade, I don’t have a consistent outlet for my writing. That’s where this blog comes in.

So what will I be publishing here? Since I do still get samples of new spirits, wines, beers, etc sent to me, I’ll be doing pieces about them. Reviews, pairings, cocktails, whatever comes to mind. Hell, if I find something not food and booze-related — video games, say, or running, which I’ve taken back up — I’ll write about those things, too. My goal, at this point, is to have fun with it. Eventually, I’ll probably include interviews, too, and who knows what else. Basically, I want to use this blog to find the fun in writing about food and booze again.

So, here we go.
